Norm Hughes was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia.
He served in the U.S. Air Force, attended Liberty
University in Lynchburg, and now works for the Booz |
Allen | Hamilton consulting firm. After college,
Norm married Diane and moved to Northern Virginia.
In 1996, the Hughes family moved to Culpeper.
Today, they have four children (Dustin, Jason, Kristen,
and Nathan). Although their oldest (Dustin) now
lives in Indiana, their remaining three children still
live in or near Culpeper.
Norm has been blessed with a heritage of church music
ministers. His grandmother played piano for the church
she attended in Richmond while his grandfather sang in a
gospel quartet. His father, now over 80 years old,
still plays bass for worship every Sunday morning.
Today, the whole Hughes family sings or plays an
instrument and each of them has served in music
ministry. Norm has a passion for worship and a desire to
lead the congregation of City on a Hill Church into a
personal encounter with God through music. |
